چکیده
This paper promotes a non-repudiation system for student evaluation in an e-learning environment based on web services, AJAX frameworks and PEAR packages in order to implement XML security standards, to provide improved user experience, asynchronous data exchange and message authentication for on-line test papers. The motivation of this research is the need to arbitrate on-line evaluation for both parties, the e-teacher and the e-student, the evaluation criteria and the rating against open answers.

In this paper, an overview of e-learning standardization state of the art is provided and the relationship between Learning Management System (LMS) functionalities and current e-learning standards is presented. Some lacks are found and the importance of defining new standards to cover several LMS aspects is justified. This work descr...
متن کاملSecurity standards for the semantic web
This paper first describes the developments in standards for the semantic web and then describes standards for secure semantic web. In particular XML security, RDF security, and secure information integration and trust on the semantic web are discussed. Some details of our research on access control and dissemination of XML documents are also given. Next privacy issues for the semantic web are ...
متن کاملXSpRES - Robust and Effective XML Signatures for Web Services
XML Encryption and XML Signature are fundamental security standards forming the core for many applications which require to process XML-based data. Due to the increased usage of XML in distributed systems and platforms such as in SOA and Cloud settings, the demand for robust and effective security mechanisms increased as well. Recent research work discovered, however, substantial vulnerabilitie...
متن کاملSecure SOAP Requests in Enterprise SOA
Web service specifications (WS*) have been designed with the aim of being composable to provide a rich set of tools for secure, reliable, and/or transacted web services. Due to the flexibility of SOAP-level security [1] mechanisms, web services may be vulnerable to a distinct class of attacks based on the malicious interception, manipulation, and transmission of SOAP messages, which are referre...
متن کاملSymbolic and Cryptographic Analysis of the Secure WS-ReliableMessaging Scenario
Web services are an important series of industry standards for adding semantics to web-based and XML-based communication, in particular among enterprises. Like the entire series, the security standards and proposals are highly modular. Combinations of several standards are put together for testing as interoperability scenarios, and these scenarios are likely to evolve into industry best practic...
